Giving Back ☺

On the 5/8/13 I went to Ronald McDonald house accommodates family's Who's children are in hospital. Alot of the time volunteers come 5 pm-8 pm to make and cook dinner for the families of these children. The work that i did was

• put the pickles into the bowl
• made the mince cooked the onions (i was supervised)
• wash the plates and dishes

We made Burgers and squared potato's there was a vegan option too. For dessert we had options  we had chocolate ice cream and three different types of toppings.The person I sat with was here with her grandson 

he was an 11 year old boy. He had a sore leg so she took him to the hospital the doctor said that he just pulled a muscle one day it got really bad so she took him to the hospital again the doctors did a close check up and found out that he had cancer; they have been here since February while he is getting treated. I really enjoyed helping at Ronald McDonald house and I recommend it to other people because at the end you feel good about yourself for doing something for other people.

On the 6th-8th of June Jess and I slept in a cardboard box. Her dad helped us make it we got our cardboard boxes from Countdown, The Warehouse and Hubbers we also used cushion pillows and blankets We slept in Jess's lounge because it was to wet and cold outside me and her had lots of fun. We played card games and board games. We raised over $350 we were so happy with ourselves and each other I Think we did pretty good at going HARD OUT FOR THE HUNGRY!!!!
