Giving Back (G5) Ronald McDonald House

On the 5/8/13 I went to Ronald McDonald house accommodates family's Who's children are in hospital. Alot of the time volunteers come 5 pm-8 pm to make and cook dinner for the families of these children. The work that i did was

• put the pickles into the bowl
• made the mince cooked the onions (i was supervised)
• wash the plates and dishes

We made Burgers and squared potato's there was a vegan option too. For dessert we had options  we had chocolate ice cream and three different types of toppings.The person I sat with was here with her grandson.

He was an 11 year old boy. He had a sore leg so she took him to the hospital the doctor said that he just pulled a muscle one day it got really bad so she took him to the hospital again the doctors did a close check up and found out that he had cancer; they have been here since February while he is getting treated. I really enjoyed helping at Ronald McDonald house and I recommend it to other people because at the end you feel good about yourself for doing something for other people.
